How importantly do you rate your customers? Most likely they are the butter to your bread, the icing to your cake.  But did you notice how easy it is to get caught up in doing the job, and forgetting to let your customers know what is happening?

Last week we had a customer contact us to say that she was so busy achieving what she needed to, that she had almost forgotten to phone her client with where she was at.  And do you know, this is a common problem!  It can cause unrest and uncertainty with customers if they don’t feel that they are being updated, and it may put them off working with you in the future.

Think about it; lets say you have promised a client that their report will be with them at the end of the week, but you run into some problems.  They’re not major ones, but they do put you back.  It means that your report will be written, but its more likely to be with the customer on Monday rather than the promised Friday, but in your rush to get it completed, you forget to let that customer know.  How do you think he will feel?  If it was me, I’d feel let down…..not because the report wasn’t there, but simply because I hadn’t been told.  In most instances, a customer will be ok if something needs to change…..that is providing you communicate with them.

This is where we can assist.  We can help to let your customers know where you are with the promised goods, and keep on top of their expectations, ensuring your time is kept to doing the actual job.  Your time is valuable, so you should do the work that brings you the most reward.  Contact us to discuss how we can assist in keeping your customers and business happy 🙂
